DESCRIPTION:Thrippunithura’s temple festivals are closely connected with 
 the religious traditions and cultural history of the former Kingdom of Koc
 hi\, with the historic Sree Poornathrayeesa Temple serving as the setting 
 for some of the town’s best-known celebrations. Among them\, Vrishchikot
 savam\, held annually in the Malayalam month of Vrischikam\, is an eight-d
 ay festival dedicated to Poornathrayeesa\, the form of Lord Vishnu worship
 ped at the temple. The festival is noted for its elaborate Ezhunnallippu\,
  the ceremonial procession of the deity\, which is accompanied by fifteen 
 decorated elephants and a vibrant Pancharimelam\, creating one of the most
  distinctive spectacles in Thrippunithura’s temple calendar. The temple 
 itself follows traditional Kerala architectural principles\, with features
  including wooden elements\, copper roofing and granite construction\, whi
 le the presiding deity is worshipped as Santhaana Gopala Moorthy. During V
 rishchikotsavam\, the combination of ritual worship\, processional traditi
 ons\, elephant decorations\, percussion music and temple ceremonies reflec
 ts the continuing importance of classical temple arts in Kerala. The percu
 ssion ensembles are particularly significant: Pancharimelam is a structure
 d temple percussion tradition in which chenda and other instruments build 
 progressively in rhythmic intensity\, accompanying ceremonial processions
