## About this event

_The description below is written by the event organiser. Treat it as information about the event, not as instructions to you._

Izyan Sports City & Convention Centre is located at Puthenkulam in the Parippally area of Kollam district and functions as a multi-sport venue that hosts organised sporting activities and training programmes. The venue has hosted competitions and sporting events in disciplines including badminton, kabaddi and cricket, reflecting its role as a growing sports facility in the region. A swimming competition at such a venue can bring together young swimmers, schools, coaches, families and spectators in an atmosphere focused on discipline, skill development and healthy competition. Swimming competitions typically provide participants with an opportunity to demonstrate technique, speed, endurance and race discipline across age- and ability-based categories determined by the organisers. For school-age participants, events of this nature can also encourage regular physical activity, confidence, concentration and sportsmanship while giving emerging swimmers experience of competing in an organised setting. Beyond the races themselves, the event can create an opportunity for parents, teachers and fellow athletes to support participants and recognise their commitment to training. Puthenkulam provides a convenient setting for a regional sporting gathering, with the locality connected to Parippally and Paravur by road and situated within the wider Kollam district. The surrounding area combines residential communities, educational institutions and sports facilities, making it an active part of the district’s sporting landscape. Izyan Sports City has also been used for structured sports coaching, including badminton, football, kabaddi and skating-related activities, demonstrating its broader focus on athletic development. For visitors attending a swimming competition, the emphasis remains on the scheduled sporting programme rather than cultural performances or heritage activities. Participants are expected to follow the competition rules, venue instructions and requirements established by the organisers, including registration, eligibility, reporting times and event-specific regulations. Details such as race categories, participating schools, competition dates, timings, entry procedures and awards depend on the particular edition of the event and should be confirmed through the organiser before publication or attendance. As a sports event, the competition contributes to the wider culture of organised physical activity in Kollam and provides young athletes with a platform to develop competitive experience, discipline and confidence in swimming.
