DESCRIPTION:Pidavoor is a rural village in Pathanapuram Taluk of Kollam dis
 trict\, situated in the eastern part of the district and associated with t
 he Kallada River landscape. The official Kerala Revenue Department identif
 ies Pidavoor as a village bounded by Thalavoor and Pattazhy on the west an
 d Vilakkudy on the south\, with the Kallada River flowing along its northe
 rn and eastern sides. The village lies near the Pathanapuram–Kunnikkode 
 road and includes a predominantly rural landscape shaped by waterways\, ag
 ricultural areas and scattered settlements. Pidavoor also has a long-estab
 lished educational presence\, with the Government Lower Primary School at 
 Pidavoor recorded in Kerala’s official school database as having been es
 tablished in 1915. Community institutions such as schools and local admini
 strative centres form an important part of everyday village life\, while t
 he surrounding landscape retains the quieter character of interior Kollam.
  One of the notable places identified by the Kerala Revenue Department wit
 hin Pidavoor village is Kamukumchery Thiruvilangonappan Temple\, described
  as an ancient Shiva temple situated on the banks of the Kallada River. Th
