DESCRIPTION:Pathanapuram St. Francis Xavier Church Perunnal is the annual f
 east associated with St. Francis Xavier Malankara Syrian Catholic Church i
 n Pathanapuram\, Kollam district. The parish belongs to the Punalur Eccles
 iastical District of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum of the Syro-Malan
 kara Catholic Church. According to the church’s official history\, the p
 arish community was formed in 1957 and the church was later renovated in 2
 012\, with the renovated building blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Basel
 ios Cardinal Cleemis. The annual feast forms part of the parish’s devoti
 onal and community life\, bringing parishioners and devotees together for 
 prayer and liturgical observances in honour of St. Francis Xavier\, whose 
 feast is traditionally observed by the Catholic Church on 3 December. As w
 ith other Christian perunnals in Kerala\, the celebration centres on worsh
 ip rather than on a general public carnival\, with the parish community pa
 rticipating in the religious observances associated with the feast. Specia
