DESCRIPTION:Panmana Pooram is the annual festival of the Panmana Sree Subra
 hmanya Swamy Temple in Panmana\, Kollam district\, and is one of the promi
 nent temple festivals of the region. Kerala Tourism describes it as an 11-
 day annual festival\, traditionally held during February–March\, with th
 e celebrations culminating in Pooram and fireworks. The temple is dedicate
 d to Lord Subrahmanya and is an important centre of worship in the Panmana
  area. During the festival\, the temple and its surroundings become a gath
 ering place for devotees\, with religious observances and traditional prog
 rammes forming the core of the celebrations. A major attraction is the cer
 emonial procession of decorated elephants\, accompanied by Kerala’s trad
 itional percussion music. Kerala Tourism records around 50 elephants parti
 cipating in Panmana Pooram\, making the elephant pageantry one of the fest
 ival’s most prominent public features. Traditional ensembles such as Pan
 chavadyam contribute to the rhythmic character of the processions and othe
 r ceremonial occasions\, while the wider festival programme reflects the c
 ustomary combination of temple worship\, music and community participation
 . The festival concludes with Pooram and fireworks\, giving the final day 
 a particularly lively character. The celebration is closely associated wit
 h the temple’s annual ritual calendar rather than being solely a cultura
 l performance\, and devotees attend to participate in prayers and observe
