DESCRIPTION:The feast of Our Lady of Dolours Church at Bela in Kasaragod di
strict is a longstanding Catholic parish celebration dedicated to Our Lady
of Dolours\, or Our Lady of Sorrows\, the patron of the parish. Bela was
established as a parish in 1880 under the Diocese of Mangalore\, and its p
resent church was built on an elevated site and blessed on January 10\, 18

rvance of Our Lady of Sorrows\, although the parish celebration date can v
ary from year to year. In 2022\, for example\, the titular feast was celeb
rated on September 18. The occasion centres on the celebration of the Holy
Eucharist and communal devotion\, while parish activities may add a festi
ve dimension to the religious observance. The church’s official records
also document cultural and community activities held in connection with th
e titular feast\, including parish competitions\, games and fellowship pro
grammes. The annual parish feast is another major occasion in the life of
Bela Church and is generally marked by solemn liturgical celebrations and
participation by parishioners. In 2025\, the annual parish feast was celeb
rated on February 26\, following vespers on…\n\nEvent page: https://app.
