The Cochin Flower Show is a long-running annual horticultural exhibition held in Kochi and listed by Kerala Tourism among the festivals and events of Ernakulam district. Organised by the Ernakulam District Agri-Horticultural Society, the show brings together flowering plants, ornamental species, bonsai, garden designs and creative floral displays in a public exhibition that highlights the diversity and possibilities of horticulture. In recent editions, the event has been held at Marine Drive, while earlier editions were hosted at Ernakulathappan Ground and other venues in central Kochi. The 42nd edition was held at the Marine Drive grounds from 24 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, forming part of Kochi’s Christmas and New Year festive period. The latest edition featured a large collection of flowering and ornamental plants, including orchids, adeniums, anthuriums, roses, oriental lilies, marigolds, dahlias, zinnias and chrysanthemums. Visitors could also see bonsai displays, vertical gardens, topiary, themed floral arrangements, miniature gardens, succulents, bromeliads, moon cactus, decorative ponds and other horticultural installations. Plant nurseries participating in the exhibition provide opportunities to purchase plants and gardening materials, while horticultural displays offer ideas for home gardens, landscaping and small-space cultivation. The show has also incorporated educational and advisory activities in different editions, including agricultural or horticultural consultation through an agri clinic and public workshops on subjects such as floral decoration, vegetable carving and terrarium making. Competitions and special activities have also formed part of previous editions, adding a community and participatory element to the exhibition. The event provides an opportunity to observe cultivated plant varieties and creative garden techniques while learning more about ornamental gardening and plant care.
