DESCRIPTION:Christmas Carol Procession at Edathua St. George Forane Church
can be presented as a seasonal Christian community celebration centred on
Christmas carol singing\, prayer and fellowship. Located on the banks of t

story to the foundation laid in 1810\, while the present main church build
ing was developed during the nineteenth century as the parish community ex
panded. The church is dedicated to St. George and is particularly known fo
r its annual feast and longstanding devotional traditions. During the Chri
stmas season\, carol singing provides a natural setting for parish members
\, children\, youth groups and families to come together in celebration of
the birth of Jesus Christ. A Christmas carol procession can combine group
singing with devotional prayers and festive participation\, with Malayala
m and English Christmas songs forming part of the musical tradition follow
ed by many Kerala Christian communities. The procession format brings the
music beyond the church interior and into a shared community space\, allow
ing residents and visitors to experience Christmas as a collective celebra
tion rather than simply a liturgical service. Seasonal decorations\, Chris
tmas stars\, lights and nativity displays can further contribute to the fe
stive surroundings\, while candles or other…\n\nEvent page: https://app.
