DESCRIPTION:Achankovil River Safari is a raft trip downstream on the Achank
 ovil at the forest settlement of Achencoil\, on the edge of Kollam and Pat
 hanamthitta. Achencoil is another spelling of Achankovil. The Dharma Sasth
 a temple marks this place as a pilgrimage halt in the winter Mandala seaso
 n\, when people travel on toward Sabarimala. The safari is the river\, not
  the darshan. You can do one without the other. It is not a trip at Pathan
 apuram\, and the riverbank near that town is the wrong one.\n\nA raft here
  means a simple craft moved with paddles or with the current\, taken downr
 iver to see the stretch. It is not a race\, and it is not a ferry timetabl
